Ending the war. Rescuing our nation. On this, the 5th anniversary of the war against Iraq, Congressman Dennis Kucinich, the leading anti-war voice in the U.S. Congress, asks all citizens to engage in a renewed quest for peace and a national civic activism to ensure that candidates -- from the Presidential race on down -- understand that ending the war is crucial to rescuing our own nation. Challenging the 10,000 Republican "Democrats for a Day" CONTRIBUTE AT: WWW.KUCINICH.US 216 252 9000 In Ohio's primary election in the 10th Congressional District last week, 10,000 registered Republicans switched their party affiliation on election day and became "Democrats for a Day" -- allowing them to try to unseat the one Congressman who has been a national leader on every issue that reflects the core values of real Democrats: Rep. Dennis Kucinich. 10,000 Republicans in one Congressional District! In a race where his opposition was supported by Republican media, Republican contributors, Republican advisors, and a Republican political agenda. In a special video message from Dennis, he explains what happened, why, and how you can help to meet the challenge that will surely be mounted again to put that seat in the Republican "win column" in November. They tried. They failed. But, they'll try again. With your support, we stopped them last week. And with your continued help, we can demonstrate in the next 10 days that we intend to stop them in November -- but only with your help. If issues like the war, not-for-profit health care, NAFTA, jobs, the environment, education, and the Constitution are important to you, please support the strongest, most consistent, most honorable voice in Congress who has the courage to stand with you and fight for what you believe: Dennis Kucinich. Why Dennis has their vote
Displays why others are voting for Dennis Kucinich. These are randomly selected.
Dennis Kucinich is the only canidate who understands the full scope of the horror of this administration for he is the only one out of the bunch who supports impeachment. Dennis would also be the canidate to stick closest to our country's principles. He is smart, well spoken, and is dead on whenever he speaks.
I don't have to suppress the urge to vomit every time I hear him talk.
Because he's been consistently anti-war, opposed the meico-US fence and supports an 8.50 minimum wage.
When Dennis Kucinich has an issue. he backs it 100%. He is opposed to Iraq- he proposes immediate withdrawal.
He supports homosexual rights- he proposes legal same-sex marriage.
He is aware of the threat of global warming- he proposes many strong plans for energy efficiency.
Kucinich for 2008 all the way.
Dennis is the sole candidate who is both legitimately against the war and calling for not-for-profit health care. None of the other candidates come close to matching the strength of his domestic program as a whole, either, which entails public works programs to reach full employment, Medicare for all, a living wage for all, protection of workers' pensions and social security, putting all sorts of new green technologies into place around the country (via public works program), banning hand guns, requiring paper ballots only so no one's vote is lost, and a trade policy that reflects this sort of commitment to the general welfare of people; one that is built from the ground up by the cancellation of NAFTA and withdrawal from the WTO, rather than from the bottom down, like the other candidates are advocating. And this is all besides his commitment to the constitution via repeal of the Patriot Act and the ending of torture as a matter of national policy, as well as his guarantee of the protection of a woman's right to terminate a pregnancy, opposition to the death penalty, support for reparations to the descendants of the slaves and for truly equal rights for same-sex couples, including the legalization of same-sex marriage. Finally, topping it all off, Dennis proposes to end the so-called "war on drugs" that is, in reality, but a two-pronged scheme designed to extend America's imperial control over Latin America and to increase the income of the for-profit prison industrial complex. There is no comparison. Dennis is the clear candidate of progress. End of story.
He doesn't, as many candidates do, oppose the repeal of civil liberties with Patriot Act, torture, Gitmo and wiretapping but does support same-sex marriage and is pro-choice. NICE!!!
Change
He stands for civil liberties, freer yet fair trade, and he isn't Republican.
Kucinich is the only candidate who will stand up for the Constitution and for all Americans, not just the wealthy. I completely stand behind his non-profit health care for all, Department of Peace, Works Green Administration, and everything else he stands for.
He's a peace-loving environmentalist who would like to see the US stop pushing around the nations of the world and would also like to stop the US from trodding upon it's citizens. What's not to like?
His platform. Duh.
Democrats need Dennis Kucinich. The idea that he is a radical is ridiculous. It's time for a real political debate, and not just Wolf Blitzer and Brian Williams picking apart the small differences of opinion between Hillary and Barack and calling it the clash of the titans. Kucinich is a titan, the only man in the room who actually voted against the Iraq Resolution. Sorry, Edwards, sometimes an apology is not enough.
finally, a candidate who is truly for the people. universal health care is something that we need badly in this country, along with repealing the patriot act, clean air emissions, etc. a candidate who is for everyone, whether you are black or white, rich or poor, gay or straight.
I strongly agree with his Iraq policy of immediate withdrawl of troops and US contractors, and replace them with an international security force and an Iraqi-run reconstruction effort respectively.
I support his intent on erradicating the Patriot Act.
I believe that single payer health care system is the first step in the right direction towards universal health care, and he supports such a system.
He, without reserve, supports same sex marriage (as evidenced in his performance on the debate)
He is a Case alum (and so am I).
Finally... House Resolution 333 (proposing the impeachment of Dick Cheany).
HIs stance on choice for women, putting UN in charge, rebuilding our relationship with our allies and being part of the global community, peace as a viable option; health care for all, concern for the trod upon american worker
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18831132/
Dennis Kucinich has more strong morals and positive beliefs than any other politician I've ever heard of. I agree with everything he supports, and I'm really hoping we can call him Mr. President someday.
He has a more neutral stance than most other candidates. Too many people go all the way right or all the way left.
i agree with him
He's the only one with a plan for health care for all.
The only one with boldness and vision to speak of the truth, love, and light that are within us all.
That's why President Kucinich has my vote.
Kucinich is the only true anti war presidential candidate. He is also the most open minded and least concerned with playing the political games that have come to be exxpected of presidential candidates
dennis is the only democratic or republican candidate that is looking out for the people of the united states as opposed to the interests of the rich and mega-corporations
He's for the people and I've never seen such a true induvidual. He's for peace and my favorite thing he says "not leaders in war".
Cuz he's the only real progressive running!
Dennis Kucinich has my support because he has the same views on the issues that are most important to me.
